Formerly

Jadhore

Located on 300 acres of picturesque fields and woodland in the heart of the community of West Bolton, Quebec, the Badger Farm has been maintained by the Badger family since 1881.

Having started breeding dairy cows, the Badger Farm today raises magnificent Highland Cattle. The herd of over 200 head is lovingly cared for by John Badger in the great outdoors 365 days a year.

The cattle are zen, well treated and do not take any antibiotics or growth hormones.

JOHN BADGER

John Badger has worked on the family farm since he was a young boy.

He took over management of the herd in 2017 but his love affair with Highlands dates back to 1982.

With nearly 40 years of experience John is now recognized as one of the world's leading authorities in the field of breading Highland cows.

His calm temperament gives him the ability to listen, communicate and understand his cattle, thus creating an ultimate balance within his herd.

Thus people even consider him a “cow whisperer”.

Buying locally from the Badger Farm makes perfect sense. According to John, consumers are increasingly aware of the quality of the product.

“People may eat less beef than before,

but they are really looking for good quality.”

ABOUT

HIGHLAND CATTLE

As the name suggests, Highland Cattle are native to the highlands and islands on the west coast of Scotland, areas with harsh climatic conditions and strong North Atlantic winds.

Many studies have proven that Highland beef has low fat and cholesterol levels, while maintaining a high percentage of protein and iron.

Highland Cattle have the capacity to fatten only on grass, thus obtaining well marbled meat with rich flavor.
